Thank you for such kind words! At the time, I thought I was the unluckiest kid to get shipped off to another state alone to have major surgery. The 3 times I was a patient there (from 9 to around 12) I learned so much--especially in how helping/loving others was so worth it. Big Hugs to you, Linda
It always breaks my heart to hear of some of the things you went through as a child-especially doing some of it alone-and then I think those have to be some of the things that made you the incredible person you are- PS I saw every Beach Blanket movie ever made!
As I tell people, that hospital experience was its own world. And don't you love the way we thought those Beach movies would make us attractive and successful? I always think of Pat Carpenter and her frosted ice pink lipstick. Annette's swimsuit looks pretty tame nowadays. Much love, Linda
It’s so easy to blame ourselves for things we have zero control over, right? I still struggle with that…
Julie,
Exactly. But it also gives us an opening to a deeper understanding. Hugs to you, Linda
I need to learn from you. ❤️
I'm sure we could learn from each other. :-)
Oh my goodness that is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever heard. Thank you for sharing it
