"I no longer need to fear change but ride it as a laboring mother rides each contraction. The pain is temporary...." Powerful painful and beautiful. Thank you.

Pam,

I thought of you as I wrote. Some of us lose suddenly, others inch by inch. Hugs. ~Linda

I have often contemplated if one is easier than the other - I am struggling now with there feels like there is little to look forward to I need to find something to add to my life other than being a caretaker I went to counseling once and she said "what brings you here today" I said if I died today it wouldn't be my life that flashed before my eyes, it would be everyone elses" unfortunately my responsibilities dictate that now I need to work on that again thank you for letting me think outloud a bit!

Pam,

I too have tended to become enmeshed with my loved ones. If you are to redefine your self, I'd suggest something creative. Even if you journal just for you, get those feelings down. Daydream. Where/what is that YOU doing in the daydream? I know how tough this is to caregive, but it too is actually temporary even though it feels forever. Sending you a big hug, Linda.

So circumspect, LBB, and so universal. My humble thanks to you. For those of us who thrive on music, you've employed it is a beautiful metaphor.

LNBB,

I think the universe is made of music & math. That hum sustains us.

Love,

Heather's first remark nails it. I think SDB should become a codified part of our written vocabulary, in the same vein as ASAP, BTW, and LOL.

H,

You know I love you like a sister. I hope you're listening for the hum every minute. It's the only thing that keeps me alive. Love,

Oh the gift of suffering, that is if we know how to use it correctly. It can grow us like nothing else can.

Karen,

Suffering stinks, but maybe this is what the Refiner's fire is all about. Thanks for your comment. ~Linda
