"I wasn't about to let fear ruin necessary tasks..." pretty well sums up my experience as a 49 yr old widower. Between raising 2 teens, teaching school, keeping extended family together etc., who had the time to let fear in? My work, friends and family kept me going. Eventually the loneliness got me going with a grief support group. I thank God for all of them of all ages in similar straits. Glad you are still "in" the game.
I didn't know you were a widower--so sorry. Doing it all and being it all is so exhausting as it is. I think when we're thrust into these crises, we stand tall and do whatever needs doing. I'm glad the grief work group is helping. Do you still live in the Valley area? I moved to Oregon almost 40 years ago and I love it here.
I didn't know there was a "fear not" for each day of the year. How very cool of God to insert the perfect antidote to the misery right in the scriptures. Thank you for being a part of The Deep End!
Thanks for this, Linda. Love your posts. You know how to get to my heart.

Steve,

Keep on keeping on,
Linda
Your ability to put into words what I have felt is uncanny
Pam,
I guess I'm just as extraordinary as you are.. Thank you for all the prayerful support. Stand tall.
With Love,
Linda
I know you know, kid. Thinking of you this weekend. First year without my mom and it's strange and sad too. I sure miss you. Lotsa love, Linda
Thank you for this. The Bible says to not fear 365 times, giving us one per day of the year.
Hi Karen,
