Thanks for this Linda. Your good heart shines through. So does your humor. Favorite line: "We might even accuse our enemies of manufacturing hurricanes or eating pets." You always make me want to be a little better as a person. More like you. :)
Heather, OMG I want to be more like you! What can this mean? I say we make a new conspiracy theory that reading your idols' Substacks will make you exchange bodies like Freaky Friday. Seriously, I plan to "recommend" your new place here. Why? Because I love you, friend. Care to exchange recommendations too? Carry on, sending hugs, Linda
YES YES YES THIS!! I share this theory of finding joy in the little things…I always feel better when I go outside and look at the fall leaves, the colors, the miracle each leaf is. And I laughed out loud sitting here all by myself at the praying for your neck—I am so there with you! Lol
Julie, I need a reminder today! I've been so anxious about the election. I'd better go out and look at some beautiful fall foliage. Thank you! And thanks for the prayer support about the old gizzard neck. ~Linda
I am coming along-drowning in paperwork and appointments. Joined a grief share group-helpful and reading a book, A Grace Disguised, which has been an excellent companion to this journey of grief. It's hard work
I'm so glad you are finding support. I was gobsmacked last year after Mom passed--the amount of paperwork, phone calls, etc was a bit overwhelming at times. You'll get through it. Sending love, Linda

Thank you again truth teller!
Pam,
How are you doing? I think of you often--please take care of you. Love and Hugs, Linda

You remember? Wow! Yes, I’m writing my memoir under the mentorship of the fabulous Susy Flory. We’ll see what comes of it!
You’re in great hands with Susy. I hope it goes well. Have you already subscribed to The Deep End, I hope? Keep Writing, Linda
I shall! Thanks.
Ohmygosh Linda, I met you at Mt Hermon years ago, and I still love your commentary on life—
Oh I remember! So sorry Mt. Hermon has changed so much. Hope your writing is going well! Hugs, Linda

Thank you for reminding me to be grateful every time Jim put water in a bowl to soak. And thanks for the reference to the Tom Petty song.
Hannah, So good to see you here! I tell you, shredded wheat leavings turn into glue. Sending you a hug, Linda
